PrintLilt documentation
Follow the workflow from a local source to a checked download. Each guide explains the relevant controls, limits, and the files you need to keep.
Open a photo
Open a static JPEG, PNG, or WebP locally, check its orientation and pixel dimensions, and understand PrintLilt’s file and memory limits.
Read guide →Enter pixel dimensions
Calculate print size or effective PPI without opening a file, switch physical units, and understand what a manual result can and cannot verify.
Read guide →Crop and position a photo
Choose fill or fit, move the retained area with pointer or position controls, check orientation, and read crop and PPI results before exporting.
Read guide →Plan a print layout
Choose exact paper and photo sizes, set orientation and margins, arrange repeated copies, and export a physical PDF without hidden resizing.
Read guide →Export your files
Choose a cropped JPEG or PNG, a physical photo-layout PDF, a numerical report, or a versioned project JSON, with clear background and restoration rules.
Read guide →Print at actual size
Match a physical layout PDF to the loaded paper, disable unintended scaling, and measure a calibration mark before relying on photo dimensions.
Read guide →Save and restore projects
Save versioned layout settings locally or as JSON, understand optional original-photo storage, and restore or delete projects without confusing them with backups.
Read guide →Privacy and local data
See where selected photos, project settings, optional originals, downloads, and search terms live, and how to remove local copies.
Read guide →Troubleshoot files and exports
Resolve unsupported or damaged photos, resource limits, missing originals, failed local saves, invalid layouts, and background errors without losing the source.
Read guide →Start with a source or a calculation
Open a photo when you need real dimensions, crop preview, or image export. Enter pixel dimensions when you only need numerical planning. Manual input does not verify a file or create a photograph.
Compose, export, and print
Crop and position explains fill, fit, orientation, and focal placement. Plan a print layout separates photo frames from paper, margins, and gaps. Export your files helps you choose image pixels, a physical layout PDF, a numerical report, or project parameters.
Print at actual size covers paper selection, scale settings, and physical calibration. Use it whenever the result must fit a measured frame or be cut to known dimensions.
Save, protect, and fix
Save and restore projects describes parameter-only records and the explicit option to store an original locally. Privacy and local data explains where each copy lives. Troubleshooting distinguishes file, resource, layout, export, and storage failures.
| Guide | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Open a photo | You need to read a local JPEG, PNG, or WebP |
| Enter pixel dimensions | You want a calculation without opening a file |
| Crop and position | You need to choose the retained scene |
| Plan a print layout | You need one or repeated photos on paper |
| Export your files | You need the right downloadable format |
| Print at actual size | Physical dimensions must survive printing |
| Save and restore projects | You want to repeat a setup later |
| Privacy and local data | You want to understand or remove saved copies |
| Troubleshoot files and exports | An operation fails or the output is unexpected |
