Sheet dimensions
Use the real image rectangle to decide whether this sheet is sufficient. A print with a long edge slightly greater than 841 mm cannot fit merely because its short edge has ample room. Rotation must still satisfy both edges of the sheet.
| Measurement | Value |
|---|---|
| Millimetres | 594 × 841 |
| Centimetres | 59.4 × 84.1 |
| Inches (approximately) | 23.3858 × 33.1102 |
| Landscape millimetres | 841 × 594 |
A layout at actual size
Place a portrait 20 × 30 inch image, or 508 × 762 mm, at the centre of A1. The side spaces are 43 mm each and the top and bottom spaces are 39.5 mm each. An 18 × 24 image leaves more room: 68.4 mm at the sides and 115.7 mm vertically.
Margins and printing limits
A 24 × 36 inch photo is 609.6 × 914.4 mm, larger than A1 in both dimensions. Do not choose a page-level Fit option and then describe the result as 24 × 36. Either move to a larger sheet or explicitly revise the photo dimensions.
The spaces in the example are calculated from the paper and image rectangles. They are not a device-specific margin recommendation. Match the PDF page to the loaded paper and check a physical calibration mark before relying on the final dimensions.
